Warranty Policy

At Keymra Photo, we stand behind the premium gear we sell. We understand that purchasing professional photography and cinematography equipment is a major investment. To give you peace of mind in the field, we provide a robust, comprehensive warranty program managed directly by our Canadian team.

1. Our Warranty Coverage Tiers

We offer distinct, multi-year warranty protections depending on the category and brand of your equipment:

2. Who Handles Your Warranty?

All warranty service, technical diagnostics, and repairs are fully managed and taken care of by Keymra Photo.

3. Our Two-Way Shipping Promise

We believe you shouldn't be penalized for a manufacturer defect.

  • Zero Shipping Costs for Valid Claims: If your warranty claim is evaluated and approved by our team, Keymra Photo will take care of the shipping costs on both sides.

  • How it works: We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to send the defective gear to our facility, and we will cover the return shipping costs to send the repaired or replacement unit back to your doorstep.

Note: If an item is sent in and found to be suffering from excluded accidental damage (see Section 4) rather than a manufacturing defect, the customer will be responsible for return shipping fees.

4. What is Covered vs. Excluded

Our warranty is designed to protect you against legitimate manufacturing faults, material defects, and electronic failures.

- What is Covered:

  • Factory defects in craftsmanship or materials.

  • Internal electronic component failures (e.g., motherboard failure, control dials stopping).

  • Internal lens mechanics (e.g., autofocus motor failure, optical stabilization failure, aperture blade sticking).

- What is Excluded:

This warranty strictly covers manufacturer defects and does not cover damage resulting from everyday field use or accidents. Exclusions include:

  • Accidental Damage: Drops, impacts, cracked screens, or crushed lens barrels.

  • Environmental Damage: Water submersion, rain exposure, sand/dust intrusion, or internal mold/fungus growth.

  • Misuse & Modifications: Damage caused by third-party battery leaks, forced mounts, altered firmware, or unauthorized repair attempts.

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Cosmetic scratches, rubber grip peeling, or gradual battery capacity degradation over time.

5. How to File a Warranty Claim

If your gear is experiencing an issue, follow these steps to initiate your claim:

  1. Submit Your Claim: Email our service department at support@keymraphoto.com with your original order number, product serial number, and a clear description of the issue. Whenever possible, include a short video or photo showing the malfunction.

  2. Initial Remote Diagnostic: Our technical team will review your ticket within 2 business days to determine if the issue is covered under our warranty terms.

  3. Prepaid Shipping Label: Once approved for physical inspection, we will email you a prepaid shipping label via Canada Post, Purolator, or Canpar.

  4. Pack Safely: Securely pack your gear in a sturdy shipping box with plenty of bubble wrap. Keymra Photo is not liable for items damaged due to poor packaging during transit.

  5. Repair or Replace: Once received, we will repair the item using professional parts or issue a replacement unit if it cannot be repaired, shipping it back to you at no cost.
