Film projects became much easier to manage once I started using it. The body feels purpose-built for video, with controls that are easy to reach while recording and a layout that makes sense when I need to change settings quickly. Despite its cinema-oriented design, I have found it manageable enough to bring along for longer production days without feeling cumbersome.

Low-light scenes have been one of the biggest strengths for me. Indoor locations and evening footage retain a pleasing amount of detail without making everything look harsh or overly processed. The full-frame sensor also gives me plenty of flexibility when I want a more cinematic depth of field or need to adjust my framing without constantly repositioning the camera.

Focus tracking has been dependable during interviews, moving subjects, and casual run-and-gun scenes. I can concentrate more on composition instead of repeatedly checking whether my subject has stayed sharp. Face and subject detection have also been useful when recording myself, particularly when movement is part of the scene.

The video controls give me plenty of room to tailor footage for different projects. I appreciate having a camera that can handle more deliberate cinema-style setups while still being practical when a scene calls for faster operation. The RF mount also gives me access to a broad selection of lenses, which makes the body useful across very different types of shoots.

Handling has stood out during longer sessions. The grip feels secure, buttons and dials are placed sensibly, and the body has the kind of sturdy construction I expect from equipment intended for serious video production. Battery life has been reasonable for my typical sessions, although I still keep a spare charged when I know I will be recording for most of the day.

What I like most is how naturally it fits into my workflow. It feels capable enough for more demanding productions without becoming unnecessarily complicated for everyday filming. For anyone who wants full-frame video performance, dependable focusing, flexible recording options, and a body designed with filmmakers in mind, I have been very happy with my experience.

Filming with it has been a big step up from the smaller cameras I have used for personal projects. The body feels purpose-built for video, with controls that fall naturally under my fingers and a layout that makes changing settings without interrupting a take much easier. It also feels sturdy without becoming tiring to handle during longer sessions.

The full-frame sensor has been especially useful in rooms where available light is limited. I can keep a natural-looking atmosphere instead of immediately reaching for extra lighting, and footage has plenty of detail and pleasing depth. Canon's color rendition also gives me a solid starting point when I begin editing, which saves time during post-production.

Focus tracking has been dependable for people moving through a scene, and I appreciate not having to constantly monitor focus manually during certain shots. The RF mount also gives me plenty of lens choices depending on whether I am filming interviews, events, or more controlled creative projects. Controls are responsive and easy to adjust while recording, which makes the camera feel practical rather than overly complicated.

What stands out most for me is how naturally it fits into an actual video workflow. It has the serious features I expect from a cinema-oriented body while remaining manageable enough for smaller productions. I have enjoyed the footage, the handling, and the amount of control available, and it has made filming feel much more deliberate without adding unnecessary fuss.
